Are you pursuing 11th commerce? THE BEST YEAR NOT THE REST YEAR


Hello my little friends, I am sure that you must have started with the maths and accounting classes virtually. You should feel very special of yourself, as interestingly, you are the first batch who is attending the classes or probably the college virtually. Today, I have decided to chat with you on upcoming precious year of your life.
On the first day of my college I was very amazed due to transition from uniforms to casuals. In 11th standard there is high probability that most of the students also change their approach from sincerity to casual towards the study saying, “Hey it’s a rest year”. They change the whole game of life & career. Guys you must understand that 11th is not the rest year but the best year of your life which gives you opportunity to come know to new subjects, new friends. It’s a foundation year for building the beautiful and successful life. So now, you may wonder what exactly we are expected to do?
In this year you will come across many new subjects like accounts, organisation of commerce, economics, and secretarial practice and along with few languages. I would like to request you all guys please don’t make choice regarding any professional course in the 11th standard only, try to get more information about the subjects you love to read through various digital/social media. Students or sometimes even parents take the decision under influence of relatives, neighbours or their friends. Always remember CA/CMA/CS/CFA/CFE and MBA are really great courses with really good content but you will enjoy your study only if you study the contents which you like. Once you become the master of your favourite course, you will start enjoying the jobs, assignments instead feeling it as monotonous. Therefore, consider 11th standard as a great opportunity for identifying your own likes and dislikes for the subjects.
I was having the morning tea in the canteen before my lecture, 8 – 10 students were also sitting there but in complete silence. I just thought may be they  had a fight before my arrival but then I sensed that all area talking to each other but not really through digitally on whatsapp group. I feel really amazed by the influence of digital platforms on the new generation and felt that there is necessity to introduce the importance of communication. Good Communication skill plays a crucial role for increasing the social network necessary for building a good business or even at the employment. Being a professor, I have observed that your generation is very well connected through the social networking sites but many times shy away when it comes to group discussions in colleges or even at home. During this year, you can work on the financial & business vocabulary for making the proficient projects and presentations.
In the last paragraph of the blog I would like to share the thoughts on IT (Information Technology) and its applications. AI (Artificial Intelligence) has changed the way of doing business. This is the age of the collaboration, cooperation and innovation. FINTECH will provide a good number of opportunities for the commerce students, then how we can prepare for the same from 11th standard only? Guys try to master yourself in the excel, advance excel. If you are already good at advanced excel, complete the introductory courses of language like Python and R. Many online portals are providing the introductory courses. Additional skills are always important to make your CV different and better than others, you are having good amount of time to accumulate these skills one by one.
When the college will start have a cutting chai and Vadapav with your friends. Don’t forget to enjoy precious time with your friends, create golden memories of your life. It’s said that most of the start-ups are comprehended from the coffee shops only, so when you are having any nice idea about any project also make your teachers, parents as a part of your group who will guide you and enjoy the process of growing with you again.
REMEMBER, it’s not the REST YEAR BUT BEST YEAR.
